Rio Tinto in Talks to Acquire Arcadium Lithium
By Rhiannon Hoyle
Rio Tinto has made a takeover approach to New York-listed lithium producer Arcadium Lithium, the companies said in separate statements.
The approach is non-binding and there is no certainty a deal will be agreed, the companies said.
Arcadium Lithium said it is focused on its strategic vision and growth plans. The companies said they will not comment further unless an update is appropriate.
