By Connor Hart
Tutor Perini has been awarded a contract worth approximately $113.3 million to construct a missile-integration test facility at Naval Base Guam.
The contract was awarded by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Pacific, the specialty construction company said Wednesday. Tutor's subsidiary, Black Construction, will aid in the test facility's construction.
The P-541 Missile Integration Test Facility at Naval Base Guam will be a single-story concrete structure, comprising 57,664 square feet, on a deep pile foundation. The facility will include missile processing spaces, a missile test cell with test control room, an administration area and storage and utility rooms.
Construction of the facility is expected to begin shortly and be largely completed by December 2028, Tutor said. The contract value was added to its backlog in 2024's third quarter.
