Airbus Gets Indonesian Air Force Order for Four Helicopters

By Najat Kantouar

Airbus received an order from the Indonesian Air Force for four helicopters as part of the air force's training modernization program.

The French aircraft maker said Wednesday that it will deliver four Airbus H145 helicopters to Dirgantara Indonesia, which will reassemble and customize them for delivery to the air force. The helicopters will be deployed for military training and light search-and-rescue missions, Airbus said.

"We are fully confident that the highly versatile H145 will make a positive impact in enhancing its military pilot training and at the same time be a critical enabler for its search-and-rescue operations," said Vincent Dubrule, head of Asia-Pacific at Airbus Helicopters.

The company didn't disclose financial details.
