CGI to Acquire Aeyon to Boost AI Offerings
By Josée Rose
A unit of CGI Inc. plans to acquire Aeyon to boost its AI technology offerings.
No financial terms of the deal, which the parties entered in June, were disclosed. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter.
CGI Federal said Aeyon works with the U.S. government on intelligent automation and analytics. The acquisition builds on CGI's relationship with multiple branches and agencies of the U.S. military, the Federal Aviation Administration and NASA, the company said.
CGI will add Aeyon's 725 employees; it has consultants and professionals in 80 offices around the U.S.
On July 4, CGI said it had agreed to buy information technology provider Celero's credit union business serving clients in Canada for an undisclosed amount. The move was aimed at expanding the banking services CGI provides to credit unions and added more than 150 employees to the company.
