George Santos says he's going to run for Congress again
By Steve Goldstein
George Santos attended the State of the Union, though not as a sitting lawmaker due to the minor fact he had been expelled last year.
But he's working to change that. He announced during the State of the Union that he intends to run again for Congress - targeting the seat of Rep. Rick LaLota, the fellow Republican who introduced the resolution to expel Santos.
LaLota did not seem worried about the prospect of a primary fight against Santos.
Granted, Santos could have other motives to run besides winning. The House Ethics Committee accused Santos of trying to "fraudulently exploit every aspect of his House candidacy for his own personal financial profit."
