Italy to Launch New 2027-, 2031-Dated Government Bonds in Fourth Quarter
By Emese Bartha
The Italian Treasury will launch two new government bonds in the fourth quarter, it said Wednesday.
The new bonds will be an October 2027-dated BTP and a November 2031-dated BTP, it said.
The treasury targets minimum outstanding volumes of 9 billion euros ($10.06 billion) in the new three-year BTP and 10 billion euros for the seven-year BTP, it said.
The minimum final outstanding is the overall issuance volume a bond has to reach before it is replaced by a new benchmark.
Other bonds, in addition to the new ones, could also be issued during the quarter, subject to market conditions, the Treasury said.
