Engie's board of directors proposed the reappointment of Catherine MacGregor's as chief executive officer, reaffirming its support for her to lead the company's transformation strategy.
The French energy company said Tuesday that the decision to reappoint MacGregor will be presented at the annual general meeting in April next year.
MacGregor, who joined as CEO of the company in 2021, refocused the group's strategy during the energy crisis.
"Catherine has strengthened the group's coherence to make it a more industrial, efficient and financially solid company, ready to pursue its future growth trajectory," said Chairman Jean-Pierre Clamadieu.
