Uniper, ConocoPhillips Strike 10-Year Gas-Supply Deal
By Christian Moess Laursen
Uniper and U.S. oil-and-gas major ConocoPhillips agreed to extend their long-term gas supply partnership for up to 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas over the next 10 years in north-west European markets.
The German energy company said late Thursday that ConocoPhillips will supply natural gas to Uniper in north-west Europe while leveraging its existing piped gas and liquefied natural-gas position. No financial details were disclosed.
The extension strengthens the diversification of Uniper's portfolio, the Duesseldorf-based company said.
