China Mulls Further Easing of Home-Purchasing Curbs, Bloomberg Reports
--Chinese authorities are considering allowing major cities including Shanghai and Beijing to relax home-purchasing restrictions for buyers who don't carry a local hukou, or residence permit, Bloomberg reports, citing sources.
--Authorities may also end distinctions between first- and second-home purchases, which would allow for smaller down payments and lower mortgage rates on second residences, Bloomberg reports.
--The proposals need to be approved by senior leaders and could change, according to Bloomberg.
