Stryker to Buy Pain-Management Company Vertos Medical
By Colin Kellaher
Stryker has agreed to buy privately held Vertos Medical in a deal that expands the medical-device maker's minimally invasive pain-management portfolio.
Stryker on Thursday said Vertos provides a solution for treating chronic lower back pain caused by lumbar spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the spinal canal in the lower back that can cause pain or numbness in the legs.
The Kalamazoo, Mich., company didn't disclose terms of the Vertos deal.
