Eaton Taps Paulo Ruiz to Succeed Craig Arnold as CEO
By Colin Kellaher
Eaton has designated Paulo Ruiz to succeed Craig Arnold at the helm of the power-management company.
Eaton on Monday said Ruiz, currently president and chief operating officer of its industrial sector, will become president and chief operating officer of the Dublin-based company on Sept. 2 and take the reins as chief executive on June 1, 2025.
Arnold, who has been Eaton's chairman and CEO since June 2016, will retire on May 31, 2025, as he reaches the company's mandatory officer retirement age of 65.
Eaton said Gregory Page, a board member since 2003, will become non-executive chairman on June 1, 2025.
Ruiz, 49 years old, joined Eaton in 2019 and has been in his current post since 2022.
Eaton said Ruiz will also join the board on Sept. 2.
