Terran Industries’ Manufacturing Operations Awarded International Quality Management Certification for Axle Design and Manufacture

In July, 2024, Terran Industries’ manufacturing operations received the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) 16949:2016 certification for the Design and Manufacture of Axles. This certification reflects Terran Industries’ commitment to excellence in axle manufacturing, customer satisfaction and continual improvement.

Our axles are among the first in the industry to be certified in compliance IATF 16949:2016 for Design and Manufacture of Axle - [USI 6KHM9G]. This certification was issued by United Registrar of Systems (URS), an independent certification body operating in more than 30 countries. Over ten months, URS conducted an extensive investigative process of the axle manufacturing operations including three site visits and audits on the manufacturing documentation and procedures supporting operations.

IATF 16949 is an international standard for automotive quality management systems. It was developed by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and aligns with the structure and requirements of ISO 9001, with additional automotive-specific requirements. The standard aims to improve the quality and efficiency of automotive supply chains and manufacturing processes. IATF 16949 certification demonstrates a company's commitment to quality and continuous improvement, helping to enhance its reputation and competitiveness in the automotive industry.
