Premium membership

Learn more about changes to the former Premium membership since the launch of Investor.

Morningstar Premium memberships were converted to Morningstar Investor subscriptions when Investor launched in June 2022. While Premium membership is no longer available for purchase, legacy Portfolio Manager is still accessible for former Premium members who are current Investor subscribers.

You can review and manage your subscription, including when your subscription will renew and your term length, in the Subscription section of My Account.

Canceling your subscription

If you cancel your Investor subscription, you will lose access to all your portfolio data, watchlists, saved screens, and custom views for both Investor and legacy Portfolio Manager. You’ll get an opportunity to download your portfolio data before canceling.

As there is no free tier for Investor, you will lose access to tools such as Screener, Watchlists, and Portfolio. You will also lose access to our analysis, proprietary ratings and metrics, and reports found on quote pages and in investment lists across Morningstar.com.

Cancellation and Apple In-App Purchases

If you originally purchased Premium via Apple In-App Purchase (IAP), then, subject to applicable law, you may only cancel your subscription through Apple, even though your Premium membership was converted to an Investor subscription. If you did not originally purchase your Premium membership via IAP, you can cancel your subscription through Morningstar.

You can verify and manage your Apple subscriptions via your Apple account.
