Breakout Option 2: Adviser Value Proposition: using behavioural science to strengthen your offer

What people are looking for, and what they most benefit from, can be two different things.  And when it comes to hiring a financial adviser, this diverge between want and need can be pronounced.  In this talk, Ryan will present empirical research results from a study asking investors “why they hired their financial adviser” and examine both the surface and deeper motivations people have as they make this important decision.  We conclude the presentation by offering concrete steps to help advisers better articulate their value proposition in a way that addresses both the salient (top of mind) and the often-unspoken needs clients have when choosing to engage with an adviser.
