The Week Ahead: Media Firms in Focus Amid Cord-Cutting Worry
Jeremy Glaser: Welcome to The Week Ahead.
After a busy couple of days, the earnings and data flow will slow down this week. Media firms will be in focus with results from Fox, Disney, and Time Warner. Cord-cutting concerns have weighed on the sector as investors worry that the lucrative fees coming from bundles will slow down. Add in the uncertainty around the Time Warner/AT&T merger, and it will be an interesting group to watch.
Coca-Cola will report on Thursday. We think the wide-moat firm is on a positive trajectory and see the shares as undervalued today.
Other earnings include, Lowe's, Sysco, CVS Health, and Twitter.
Job openings data and a consumer sentiment reading are some of the data highlights.
