Take a look at Meghan Trainor's completely renovated $12 million mansion in Encino, Calif.
By Lisa Johnson Mandell
The huge house is in the sought-after 'South of the Blvd.' area
About nine months ago, pop star Meghan Trainor sold a modern farmhouse in Valley Village, Calif., and made a substantial profit.
Now, she looks to land an even bigger profit on her much larger Encino estate, listed for $11,995,000.
Trainor and her husband, actor Daryl Sabara, picked up the posh property for $6,550,000 in 2020 and completely renovated the home.
The 14,165-square-foot mansion, originally built in 1998, now better accommodates the couple's two children and Trainor's recording career. Updates include whimsical play areas and a state-of-the-art recording studio with a mini kitchen, bathroom, and its own separate entrance.

Perched on just over an acre, the house is in the sought-after "South of the [Ventura] Blvd." area, which has been a big draw for other young celebrities, including Selena Gomez, Zendaya, DJ Zedd, Kelly Clarkson, Joe Jonas, and Sophie Turner, and Lakers forward Rui Hachimura.

Like many of the celebrity homes in the area, this one sits comfortably behind tall hedges and security gates, which open to a grand motor court.
The dramatic, high-ceilinged formal entry features a modern double staircase. Beyond that are two living rooms, a great room combining a family room, dining space, and a kitchen. An office and an en suite bedroom complete the main level.
The family room is upscale but comfy and casual, too. There are five en suite bedrooms on the second level, including the primary suite with a fireplace, a lounge area, dual walk-in closets, a sumptuous bathroom, and a large deck overlooking the extensive grounds.
Those grounds include a backyard outfitted as a family paradise that includes an all-new pool with a spa, a waterslide and waterfall, a tennis/basketball court, mini putting green, and a play area.

There's also a guesthouse that includes a full gym and bathroom on the first level. The upper level boasts a full kitchen, living room, bedroom, full bath, and walk-in closet with a washer/dryer.

Trainor's previous transaction involved a completely remodeled, four-bedroom, modern farmhouse. She purchased the property in 2017 for $1,695,000, then listed it in late 2023 for $2,395,000. After only about a month on the market, it sold for the asking price.
Trainor, 30, leapt to fame in 2014 with the release of "All About that Bass," which reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and sold 11 million copies worldwide. She has released six studio albums and won a Grammy in 2016 for Best New Artist. She is currently preparing for a concert tour in support of her latest album, "Timeless."
