BBVA Plans to Launch Digital Bank in Germany in 2025
By Elena Vardon
Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria is planning to extend its digital banking proposition to Germany in 2025.
The Spanish lender intends to expand its digital banking presence to other European countries after its successful entry into the Italian market in 2021, which exceeded expectations, BBVA's Spain country manager Peio Belausteguigoitia said at an event on Wednesday.
The bank has half a million new customers in Italy this year, nearing its annual target of 600,000, he said.
