Netflix's Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul Fight Postponed

By Ben Glickman

Netflix's blockbuster fight between former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson and social media influencer Jake Paul has been postponed until later this year.

Netflix said in a blog post on Friday that Tyson's recent ulcer flare-up has limited his ability to fully train for the event. The fight will be rescheduled at an unspecified date after Tyson is able to resume training, Netflix said.

The match marked the latest step in Netflix's march into live sports. The long-debated move within the company comes as other services compete for expensive live-sports rights to get ahead in a crowded streaming landscape.

The fight was scheduled to take place July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Netflix said previously purchased tickets for the fight will be honored for the new date.
