On Aug. 2, 2024, AB announced the closure of AB Small Cap Growth's Class K and Class R shares (two of its smaller share classes by asset size), effective immediately. As of that date, the firm discontinued offering the K and R shares of the fund to investors. Existing retirement plan sponsors can continue to add new participants and make additional purchases until those share classes' liquidation date. The fund anticipates making liquidating distributions to shareholders based on net asset value within nine months of the board of directors' approval on July 31, 2024. Existing share classes, including Class A, Class I, and Class Z shares remain available to most retirement plans.
