AT&T: DirecTV Sale Sharpens Focus on Wireless and Broadband; Shares Fairly Valued

AT&T will sell its remaining 70% stake in DirecTV to partner TPG for $7.6 billion. The sale does not depend on TPG completing its plan to also acquire EchoStar's Dish Network and Sling television businesses.
