Amcor Earnings: Carried by Margins, Despite Lower Volumes

Narrow-moat Amcor’s fiscal 2024 result was as expected. Revenue fell 7% on the previous corresponding period due to lower volumes with softer demand in discretionary products—notably North American beverages—and destocking in healthcare. Nonetheless, stronger group margins, reflecting restructuring and cost-saving efforts, resulted in steady USD 1.6 billion EBIT.
