WEC Energy Group Earnings: Constructive Regulatory Outcome Key to Gaining Premium Valuation

We are reaffirming our $96 fair value estimate for WEC Energy after the company reported second-quarter earnings of $0.67 per share, down from the $0.92 per share in the same year-ago period. Rate design changes have shifted WEC's earnings more evenly throughout the year with no impact to our fair value. Management reaffirmed 2024 earnings guidance of $4.80-$4.90 per share, in line with our expectations.
