VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Nov. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Rutter Mills, LLP, a personal injury law firm serving Hampton Roads since 1959, announces its second annual Rutter Mills Turkey Drop, a free, drive-through Thanksgiving turkey giveaway. The firm will distribute 500 free turkeys at its Virginia Beach office on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, followed by another 500 turkeys at its newly opened Hampton office on Thursday, November 19, 2026. They invite anyone in need to come by and claim one of the turkeys before supplies run out.
"When we saw how quickly the three hundred meals went last year, we knew the need in our community was bigger than one afternoon in one city," said Managing Partner C. Arthur "Brother" Rutter III. "So this year, we decided to go even bigger!"
Rutter Mills Turkey Drop 2026 Expansion
The expansion of the event follows the success of the firm's inaugural Turkey Drop in 2025, when Rutter Mills gave away 300 Thanksgiving meals at their Virginia Beach office. All 300 meals were claimed in less than an hour, demonstrating the strong demand for holiday food assistance in the community.
This year, Rutter Mills is expanding to two locations and increasing the giveaway to 1,000 free turkeys, more than tripling the number of turkeys that were available in 2025. This advancement brings the event to the Peninsula for the first time.

No. The Turkey Drop is free and open to the community. You don't need to be a client, have a legal case, or register in advance.
What time should I arrive?

Can I walk up if I don't have a car?
