Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. lists $48 million Beverly Hills mansion

You won't believe how much he'll make if he sells it at that price

Retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. is ready to part ways with his grand six-bedroom, 9.5-bath bath estate in Beverly Hills, Calif., and he's aiming to secure a hefty profit when he sells it of.

The more-than-15,000-square-foot mansion on a half-acre lot comes with an astonishing $48 million price tag.

Per the property's history, Mayweather bought the home for $25.5 million in 2017, which means the former pro hitter who boxed across five different weight classes stands to make a pretty penny on the sale-even if he accepts an offer below his asking price.

However, the listing notes that any potential buyers will get a great deal for their money-and the celebrity cachet that comes with buying a home owned by a former star athlete.

In addition, the sprawling estate offers "sophistication and cutting-edge design," having been given quite the decor update during Mayweather's ownership.

Gracious rooms set in an open plan are elegant and welcoming, filled with marble and hardwood flooring and mirrored walls that bounce light from the 10 pairs of French doors.

There's a masculine paneled library/den with a fireplace, built-in cabinets, and shelving. Meanwhile, a beautiful formal living room awaits in shades of white, pearl gray, and cream.

However, it seems that star power wasn't enough to convince Mayweather to hang onto the home-although it's unclear why he decided to sell it off after seven years, having purchased it shortly before he announced his retirement.

Mayweather's formidable presence in the ring was world-famous as he retired undefeated from his storied career with 15 major world championships. Considered one of the top five best boxers of all time, Mayweather now works as a promoter of the sport.

As for his real estate holdings, the fighter won't be without shelter when he hands over the keys to this manse. He also has homes in Las Vegas and on Miami Beach's ultraposh Palm Island.
