Port of Mobile, Ala., Closed Ahead of Hurricane Isaias — OPIS
The U.S. Coast Guard captain of the port set Port Condition Zulu for the port of Mobile, Ala., late Thursday, suspending all operations at the port ahead of the arrival of Hurricane Isaias.
Vessel and terminal operations at Alabama Port Authority public berths are suspended. Operations will remain suspended until conditions allow for assessments and clearance to safely resume.
Isaias, a Category 3 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 120 mph, was 170 miles south-southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River, the National Hurricane Center said in an 8:20 a.m. ET update.
