Spain Issues 4 Billion Euros in New November 2036 Inflation-Linked Bond — Update

Spain issued 4 billion euros ($4.45 billion) in new November 2036-dated inflation-linked bonds via a bank syndicate on Tuesday, one of the lead manager banks said.

The final book size exceeded 51 billion euros, including 4.7 billion euros in joint lead manager interest, the same bank said.

The spread on the new linker, which is indexed to eurozone HICP excluding tobacco, was set at 22 basis points above the real yield of the domestic peer 0.70% November 2033-dated inflation-linked bond.

The new bond has a 1.15% coupon, and it was priced at 99.512, at a yield of 1.193%, the same bank said.

Bookrunner banks were Citi, Credit Agricole CIB, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe, Santander and Societe Generale CIB.
