Communications services companies ticked up as traders continued a rush into high-risk sectors.
Australian real-estate listing service Rightmove said it would consider a sweetened $7.99 billion bid from News Corp-controlled REA Group, the third offer it has received from the conglomerate, which publishes this newswire, having rejected the previous two.
The Washington Post is laying off a quarter of its workforce from Arc XP, the publisher's stand-alone software unit, the latest change as the company aims to turn its business around under new leadership.
