By Adam Whittaker
Kromek said it has been approved to supply radiological nuclear detection equipment to the U.K. Home Office and domestic security services.
The U.K. supplier of radiation and biodetection technology solutions said Monday that it is now approved under the U.K. Government's Radiological Nuclear Detection Framework to supply the Home Office, Counter Terrorism Police and other public bodies.
Kromek said it applied for a framework contract covering the supply of handheld, wearable and large volume static radiation detectors.
As a result of the framework contract, the company is pre-qualified to be selected for orders in these categories, which over the four-year term of the framework have a combined maximum procurement value of 84 million pounds($111.9 million), it said.
