Abbott Laboratories Increases Dividend 7.8%, to 55 Cents

Abbott Laboratories increased its quarterly common dividend 7.8%, to 55 cents a share, from 51 cents.
The new payout, equal to $2.20 a year, represents an annual yield of about 2% based on Thursday's closing price of $108.60.
The healthcare-products manufacturer said the dividend is payable on Feb. 15 to shareholders of record at the close of business on Jan. 12.
