By Stephen Nakrosis

Northrop Grumman (NOC) Aerospace Systems received a contract with a ceiling of $7 billion to modernize and sustain U.S. Air Force B-2 aircraft.

The contract provides for enhancements, sustainment and logistics elements for the aircraft, the Pentagon said Thursday.

Work will be performed at Palmdale, Calif., along with performance at other locations, including Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri and Oklahoma's Tinker Air Force Base. Work is expected to be completed by May 3, 2029, the Pentagon said.
