L'Oreal Completes Acquisition of Lactobio
By Andrea Figueras
L'Oreal has completed the acquisition of the Danish probiotic and microbiome research company Lactobio for an undisclosed amount.
The French beauty company said Monday that the move aims to boost its microbiome research efforts dedicated to beauty and strengthen its position in this particular scientific territory, the company said.
"The strategic acquisition builds on 20 years of advanced research by L'Oreal into the microbiome scientific territory," it said.
L'Oreal will be able to benefit from Lactobio's microbiome expertise and portfolio to develop topical formulations and new cosmetic solutions using live bacteria, the company said.
