Prudential's CFO James Turner Resigns; Ben Bulmer Named as Replacement

   By Elena Vardon

Prudential on Wednesday said its Chief Financial Officer James Turner is stepping down and that it has named Ben Bulmer to the role.

The insurance-and-investment business said Turner resigned after twelve years in the business in light of an investigation into a code of conduct issue linked to a recent recruitment situation.

"The group sets itself high standards and Mr Turner fell short on this occasion," it said. He will remain available for four months to support a smooth transition, it added

Prudential said there aren't any implications for the financial performance, reporting or operations of the business.

Bulmer, who is currently CFO of the group's insurance and asset management branch, has held several leadership positions across the finance function since joining the company in 1997, it added.
