Dividend Reinvestment Plan

Also know as DRIP. A plan that allows stock investors to have their dividends automatically reinvested in shares of a stock.

Such plans can be handy for long-term investors who don’t care about getting short-term income from dividends. Companies with DRIPs are generally well established and may be good choices for beginning investors who are just starting to buy stocks.
