Defined Benefit Plan

Defined benefit plan is a retirement plan that pays you a specific amount of money each year of your retirement based on how long you worked for a company and how much you were paid.

Unlike a defined contribution plan, you don’t contribute anything to a defined benefit plan.

Most pensions are defined benefit plans.
