Business Risk

Business risk is the danger that a company you’ve invested in may run into trouble.

Business risk affects how much a company makes, and thus the company’s stock price and its ability to pay bond interest.

You can lower your exposure to business risk by investing in many companies (through mutual funds, for example) and diversifying your investments.
