Communications services companies ticked down as traders hedged their bets on the outlook for growth in the sector.
Shares of Reddit rallied after the user of the blogging service known as "Roaring Kitty" hinted he was getting back into day trading.
Shares of Reddit are up by more than 25% since the company went public earlier this year. AMC Entertainment, another meme stock that was a favorite of day traders such as Roaring Kitty during the pandemic lockdown, rose sharply.
